The Cultural Schoolbag (TCS) is a collaboration between the central government, counties and municipalities, designed to ensure that children and young people experience professional art and culture. At the same time, it should challenge the creativity of children and young people.
The Art, culture and education department is responsible for interaction with counties and municipalities with respect to TCS, and for strengthening the partnership between schools, the arts community and the TCS network. We want to create venues for dialogue and knowledge-sharing, help to raise the artistic quality of TCS and integrate it better into the education system.
We shall work in partnership with experts within the six forms of art and culture covered by TCS (film, music, literature, visual art, performing arts and cultural heritage). And we will share stories of successful collaboration within the local arts community, and create models that will make it possible to replicate them across the country.
